ANIMAL FASCIAL MANIPULATION®
Level 1 with Tuulia Luomala and Mika Pihlman
A four day course in Animal Fascial Manipulation for dogs.
Participants will learn how to evaluate musculoskeletal dysfunctions in reference to the animal fascial system and to apply the Fascial Manipulation system as taught by Luigi Stecco over the past 40 years in Italy. His method focuses on the deep muscular fascial and views it as a three-dimensional continuum. It uses a complete biomechanical model that helps decipher the role of fascia in musculoskeletal disorders. The goal is to then identify the specific point of fascia that is causing the problem then to do manipulation, often times away from the problem area, to restore movement. The course will include fascial anatomy and physiology, the biomechanical model used in application of this method, and the anatomical localization of key fascial points. It will be taught combining theoretical and practical elements as well as a live demonstration of all steps of treatment of a dog.
Tuulia Luomala is a Finnish Physiotherapist and certified teacher of Veterinary Fascial Manipulation. She will be assisted by Mika Pihlman.
