    Founder, owner and senior lecturer of Supple Spine Institute

    Dr. Anneke Schellingerhout, DVM, is a practicing veterinarian and founder /  main teacher of the Supple Spine Institute.
    She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands) in 1997 and earned her postdoctoral degree in the field of animal nutrition in 2002. In 2004 she completed her education as a chiropractor at the European Academy for Veterinary Chiropractic (EAVC) and attained certification from the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA). For many years Dr. Schellingerhout was an instructor at the Backbone Academy®. In addition, she is recognised as a veterinary osteopath, practitioner of veterinary homeopathy, is a certified acupuncturist (IVAS) , Chinese Food Therapist and Herbalist. Dr. Schellingerhout practices osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathy and works with nutrition and Chinese herbs at Jyoti, her successful holistic practice in Heemskerk, the Netherlands, where she treats companion animals as well as their humans.

  • Drs. Leida Visée


    Co-founder of Supple Spine Institute

    Drs. Leida Visée, DVM, is a practicing  veterinarian and together with Anneke Schellingerhout founder of Supple Spine Institute. She graduated as a veterinarian from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University in 1987.
     In 2004 she successfully completed chiropractic training at the European Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (EAVC) and obtained certification from the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).
     Leida was instructor for years at the Backbone Academy and the Supple Spine Instuut, where she is
    a guest lecturer and examiner.
     In addition, she is recognized as a homeopathic veterinary surgeon, certified acupuncturist, Chinese nutritional therapist, Herbalist and TuiNa therapist.
     She works, among other things, with chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition and Chinese herbs in her successful complementary practice Chiron in Zeist, where she treats domestic animals.

  • Drs. Brenda Ooms



    Drs. Brenda Ooms graduated in 1997 as veterinarian at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University. After her graduation she worked several years in veterinary practices in The Hague and surroundings.
    In 2007 she started with the course Orthomolecular medicine. Then following an acupuncture and chiropractic training at the Healthcare Academy. After following continued education at Supple Spine Institute, she also became an instructor there.
    Brenda treats companion animals successfully with acupuncture, chiropractic, supplements and nutritional advice in her complementary veterinary practice in The Hague.
